Rainy day. However, I noticed that in my absence, 6 new geocaches had been listed nearby. So I went out after breakfast to do those. 2 were in Chestnut Ridge, 1 was in Suffern, and 3 were in Paramus. In this lazy summer, if it were not for geocaching, I wouldn't have gone out anywhere this evening. Shopping would be left undone. Local economies would languish. (Well, not really.) Well, I got my wish. It's been around 60°F the whole day, even past mid-June. The catch? It's also been raining all day long! Disregarding the rain, I went out this evening to the Not Just Christmas..... geocache in Paramus. Another evening with nice weather. Sunny and 72°F. Once again, I went to Ringwood for some geocaches. The first two were Sparrow Nest 3 and Hawk Nest 2, both along the Cooper Union Trail in Ringwood State Park. Just did one geocache this evening but I was curious about the location because it was rather isolated. Even though it was less than 20 miles from home, it took me 50 minutes to get there because there was no direct road and because quite a bit of the drive after leaving I-287 was along winding roads through areas that were mostly woods.
